Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana

In January 2009, I went to the Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic, which is located at about 30 minutes from the Punta Cana international airport. It is located on the beautiful Bavaro Beach . The resort is listed as a 5 star all inclusive resort and I would rate it as a 4 1/2 star. The rooms are beautiful and well maintained. The bed was really comfortable. We had a king size bed. As for the bathroom, I have nothing bad to mention about it.
The resort has 8 restaurants : 1 buffet, 7 la carte restaurants ( Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Mediterranean, Seafood, gourmet, and steakhouse) and also a snack bar close to the beach. I have tried the buffet, the steakhouse and the Gourmet restaurants. The food was delicious. The buffets are HUGE. Everyone will be able to find something they like. I loved everything I have tried. The buffets always have themes going on. You should book the la carte restaurants the same day you arrive as they all need reservations.
You will have access to 2 pools. The pools are big and well maintained as well. There are 6 bars (lobby bar, pool bars, beach bar and the theater bar).
The Bavaro beach is beautiful. It's a white sandy beach and you can enjoy taking long walks.
There are several other facilities at the resort such as a spa, a beauty salon located at the spa, supervised children's activities, gift shops, laundry services, internet center.
The staff was very friendly and they tried hard to please.
All in all, this is a great all inclusive resort at a decent price andI would go back anytime.
This is really great place for traveling. I'll go there someday. I like the beach. You have high quality picture from that place.

One of a handful of places that I have yet to visit. Reading this review made me more motivated to, at last, go to Punta Cana, knowing that I'll be in for a truly memorable experience. Thanks for the review!
