Grand Theft Auto: Vice City A Classic By fnordian on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

As far as I'm concerned, Vice City might as well be the original Grand Theft Auto. I've played GTA III and tried a few of the earlier versions, but Vice City was a groundbreaking game as far as the complexity of gameplay, number of missions, and, well, fun. It's one of those games you don't want to stop playing until you've completed it to 100%. As in all other GTA games, your goal is to build your reputation, commit crimes, avoid the cops, and earn money. The main storyline is complex and engaging, while the side missions will keep you coming back for more. It's a great game, and one of my all-time favorites.

Of course, it goes without saying that this is a mature game. If you're offended by pretend violence, you probably won't enjoy it. It might not be appropriate for some kids, though I think many teens could play this game so long as they have a strong grasp on the difference between fantasy and reality. For adults, though, it's a great way to release your workweek tension and have some good clean fun!
