Grandmother's brand

I have always trusted Singer sewing machines after seeing my late mother-in-law and my own grandmother sewing on Singer sewing machines. I bought this machine a year ago. I do not do very heavy sewing on my machine. It is usually just for mending clothes ,changing broken zips , sewing pillow casing ,bedsheets and curtains which requires long straight seams . I am not interested in embroidery so this machine fits nicely for my usage.
Pros: Very powerful piercing especially when I sew curtains that are thick. The stitches are fast too. I like the invisible- zipper foot that comes with the machine making the changing of zippers an easy and nicely done job.
Cons: Cannot adjust the bobbin thread tension . It is more made to sew heavy materials like curtains than to sew light materials like bedsheets.
Additional thought: Overall this machine is great for sewing heavy fabrics but not quite suitable for people who are into fashion sewing . For me who do not any fashion sewing , it is just nice.

this brand has been in the market for ages! i remember seeing my grandmom too using this machine to stitch me nice sunday dresses while i was young...
This has given me the incentive to dust off my sewing machine and start creating :-)
