Ice Age is one of those animated films that my nephew at age three loved. He also loved "Finding Nemo." After a few weeks we were very tired of that movie. However, "Ice Age" was one of those films that the whole family can enjoy time after time.

It starts when Manny, a mammoth, decides not to follow the rest of the animals to warmer climes because of the snow and ice. Manny begins to pick up some animals such as the sloth, saber tooth tiger, and a human baby. Manny is not happy with the humans because they killed his wife and child. But, you don't know the rest of Manny's story until he warms to the baby.

There is a lot of humor, action, and special moments in this movie. Of course, when the saber tooth tigers try to kill the baby's family, you might have to hold your child. Even so, there is a lot of fun in this movie.

My husband loves this animated movie because of the adult jokes inside the action. The kids don't catch it. And, one of my husband's favorite parts is Scrat the squirrel.

One of the nicest things about getting your own DVD is the bonus features. This DVD has commentaries, games, behind the scenes, etc. Of course the animated short "Scrat's Missing Adventure" is the best of all. If you haven't seen Scrat trying to save nuts, you have missed all the fun. So yes, we watch this one a lot.
