Great Art Projects For Little Hands By bconwak on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

My five year old daughter loves to "click and color" on the computer. Unfortunately I am constantly worrying that a push of the wrong button could send her to sights that would cause a litany of questions I am not prepared to answer. My younger sister researching pussy cats comes to mind. I found the Fisher Price Digital Arts and Crafts Studio online along with several reviews that were not so great. I found that either you loved it or hated it. It seemed like such a novel idea I couldn't believe that I had never heard of it before.

Fisher-Price has created this console, a little bigger than an average size keyboard, that plugs into your computer via a usb port. After a few minutes of installing the program your child is ready to color, create, and learn without the fear of stumbling onto something less desirable. The Digital Arts and Crafts Studio has password protection, so your child cannot even access your desktop.

My daughter and son have already spent a great deal of time coloring, playing connect the dots and creating hats, puppets and paper airplanes. There are even extra cds to add themes to your projects. Dinosaurs, Barbie, Dora and Diego, a little something for everyone. A stylus is used, so that your child can easily navigate between different activities. They can even create original art by using the stylus and drawing just like they would a crayon.

I am telling you, I love this! I actually got to watch a tv show without interuption while my children played on the computer. I reccomend this to anyone with children between the ages of 4 - 8. Definatley the best purchase I have made for my kids in a long time!
