The Brother MFC-240C is an All-in-One Printer/Fax/Copier/Scanner is a great option for those seeking an inexpensive, functional device for a home office. The different functions all work well, and each performs with the quality of a single unit version of the device. The scanner performs well, albeit not a high-speed device. It does give you the option to scan an image as several different file types. The fax machine works as expected, and provides a useful link to the digital world. The printer is a top-quality function, as is the copier. My one qualm about the device is the printer cartridges. The device uses four separate color cartridges, which is generally great for saving ink, as you don't toss one cartridge when one of the inks is empty. However, when one of the carrtidges is empty, the unit becomes inoperable, which is a bit of a pain when you need to replace one of the cartridges and just want to print a map. You cannot, say, print in Greyscale until you're able to pick up the Fuschia printer cartridge. Overall, the Brother MFC-240C is a great buy. It's highly-functional, and for the price, a steal.
