Great carpet tiles for kitchen floor
By sweetmom onWe got our kitchen flooring changed when the old tiles were damaged an year ago. We got the flooring changed to these beautiful and soft carpet tiles after some cementing. We first got the floor cemented and leveled and then we covered the floor with these heuga carpet tiles which I bought after a lot of searching. They were available in many colors at the store and I selected two colors cream and brown and covered the floor with them. The floor looks just great because I laid them side by side and since the colors are contrast to each other, the flooring looks more beautiful.
As far as the design and look are concerned, I couldn't say there is any better looking kitchen flooring available out there. These FLOR carpet tiles from heuga flooring are just too good and the design is as great as it looks. They are designed in such a way that there are small pores in them which absorb the water if water is spilled.
Though they offer very good covering for floor, they are very soft and I could do any work in kitchen effortlessly. They are tough as well and they haven't got a single damage in all these days. It is great to see something which is both soft and strong.
They are very easy to clean and I just soak them in water for a few hours and spread them in sun light. They haven't lost their color in the past one year and after a wash they look as new as they looked a year ago. I will always use these tiles and even if I have to change them, I will go for the same brand as they are just great! They are a bit costly but are worth it!
You can take these up and clean them? I was looking at carpet tiles a couple of days ago.
They sound pretty good -- I like the fact that you can take them up and clean them. Must make "deep cleaning" the floor a lot easier! I get tired of scrubbing the vinyl on my hands and knees!
FLOR makes great carpet squares. What I like is you can request a catalog and samples online - when you're done withthe 2" square samples, they make great Barbie house carpet :).
It sounds like excellent flooring, I like the fact they are both attractive and have a cushy feel under foot. To be able to take them up and clean them is a wonderful feature.
It's interesting to think of carpet in the kitchen. I'm afraid I would need to wash them every day!
My first thought is OMG, carpet in the KITCHEN! But then I see that you can take them up to clean them...interesting...I thought that those carpet squares were glued down or something. Wish you had a picture of the finished project.
Wow... I thought kitchen carpeting went out in the 70's. But these sound like you can keep them cleaner. Except I don't think we get enough sun in Michigan to ever get them dry!
I like the idea of tiles... incase you have a nasty stain you can just replace the tile! It sounds like a great color scheme.
