There is nothing that can replace brushing your dogs teeth all together, but there are toys that can aid in their dental health. The Fleecy toys are great for helping keep your dogs teeth relatively clean in between brushing. I bought my dog the small fleecy bone and we were both quite satisfied with it. he loves to chew it up, throw it around and tug on it. I love that it actually does keep plaque to a minimum if he plays with it often. I also like that this toy can be washed when it gets smelly or dirty, because not many dog toys are laundry safe. The only draw back to this toy is that it get ripped up fairly easy. It doesn't get destroyed like some toys, but the ends of the fabric can be ripped off. I have often pondered making something similar to the Fleecy rather than buying it, because it is a fairly basic concept. However, the price for these toys is more than reasonable and I don't think it would be worth the time.
