great expectations....sigh....when will i learn?

.....ok, I had high hopes that I'd found a bargain on a candle at TJ Maxx.Paula Deen....At Home brand.My aunt watches her show because "the woman isn't afraid to use BUTTER!!" Had to be good, right?Well, better than Rachel Ray anyhow.[=I needed a candle to burn to cheer me up because a well-loved pet had just died.... and my amazing Woodwick candle has burned right down the to bottom of the glass jar it came it, so I needed something quick.What is it that some folks say?? Haste makes waste?Yeah, funny how I remember that now.....

....what a disappointment.No scent filled the room...how could it when the thing burned right down the middle of the candle, making a 1 1/2 inch wide tunnel down the center of the much-wider candle???The incredible tunneling candle.With the TEENIEST flame you ever saw.My husband actually laughed when he saw the flame...I used a Yankee Candle Illumalid on it, I kept the wick trimmed...but to no avail.It was pitiful.

I won't be cheap next time.....you get what you pay for, and there's a reason that this candle is sold at TJ Maxx.Save your $6 and put it towards a quality candle.This one was crap.
