Great Laptop!

I love this laptop. We were looking around and decided to order from Dell because it is so easy to do so. They give you a base model to start with and you customize it to what you want. The base model, however, came with a ton of things already that we liked (15.4 inch screen, 1 GB of memory, 80 GB hard drive, DVD +/-RW drive). We upgraded the hard drive to 120 GB, which is a must if you plan to do videos and picture editing. We also upgraded to Windows Vista Home Premium as its operating system. It arrived quickly (1 week) and I used it to create family video DVDs just in time Christmas. It was fast, easy, and efficient to use. I love the portability of having a laptop and not being tied to one room. I have a very active child, and I need to be flexible to his needs as well as getting things done electronically. This laptop does that and more.

The operating system does take some getting used to. I am accustomed to XP and Vista is different enough to be a challenge. However, the system comes with an intro to Vista, so will definitely help a novice user.

I have owned other brands of laptops before, but this one is by far the best I have ever dealt with. My husband is now considering purchasing one for himself because of how great this one has been for me.
