Great States Educational Game By donnabc on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

As soon as summer began I began searching for a fun way to learn the states. I got this game where I get most of my educational games here in town, at a small educational toy store. I have to say for the most part I am not real happy with this game.

The game has 4 different question categories and you spin to see which one your question will come from. Early on we learned that the "fun" category was anything BUT fun. I mean really what 8 year old can spell Mississippi backwards? So, we totally did not even play with this category.

As for the rest of the game...well, it really was not fun. I mean I don't want to play it and I'm sure my son does not either.

Still I have to give it some credit, it does get the kids looking at the state map and having to search for a particular state. So I guess it has some value.

Now we thought differently. We enjoy playing this game. I guess different games appeal to different folks :)

Maybe the kids think this game is to much like school, fun family time.
