his is a push reel mower made by Great States, which is one label of the American Lawn Mower Company. They are the largest producer of push reel mowers in the United States, They are a family-owned business out of Indiana that was founded in 1895, so they're a good, stable company with a respected product.

We bought a house a few years ago and needed a lawn mower. After some research, we decided that a manual push lawn mower would be best over a gas-powered lawn mower. It doesn't have any gas-powered parts to break down, no gasoline to buy (good for environment too), and it provides good exercise!

This mower has five tempered steel blades with a metal ball bearings. The wheels have a 10-inch diameter and are made of a durable composite with radial tire treads.

The cutting Width is 16-inches and a height of .5" to 2.25" with three adjustable height positions. The adjustable blade height offers you the preference of grass height. If you have a lot of stones or uneven ground, the highest position works well.

At a shipping Weight of 25 pounds, this mower is very strong and durable. The body is constructed of sturdy metal. The side plate is Unbreakable steel.

The handle is its weakest part with an aluminum or thin metal 1-inch welded tubing. It seems sturdy enough though. The handle is powder-coated with a flared shape. It has cushioned handle grips.

It requires some assembly, mostly to connect the handles together and to the roller assembly but it's fairly simple with the manual's instructions. You will need a screwdriver.

We've had this mower for over a year now and have cut our lawn over fifty times without incident. The blades are just as sharp as the day we first used it.

It's a great manual push reel mover at a reasonable price.

We would really love to have one of these for going green. However, we are big rock growers here in Central Texas and the majority of the mowing must be done with a trimmer.

Wow I didn't even know they still made these. I can remember my grandfather using one of these!
