GREAT SURROUND SOUND AT A REASONABLE PRICE

When we got our 56" Wide screen Toshiba TV, we decided that if we were going to have a big TV, we might as well spring for a surround sound system to go with it. We spoke to our eldest son who knows everything there is to know about things electronic and he suggested the Onkyo 5.1 Home Theater System.We headed over to Circuit City to preview the sound before purchasing and were amazed at the quality of the sound for a very reasonable price.

The System contains:

AV Receiver (100W/channel) with Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro-Logic II, 3 digital inputs (2 optical, 1 coaxial), HDTV-ready component video switching with 3 inputs and l output, an A/B speaker terminal which enables you to add an extra set of speakers in another room.

Two 2-way front speakers,a 2-way center speaker, and Two 2-Way surround speakers which have a 3 " (8 cm) cone woofer and a " (2 cm) ceramic tweeter, are magnetically shielded and have color coded speaker terminals and speaker cables for easy set-up.There is 6-ohm impedance.

A Sub-woofer has an 8" (20 cm) cone woofer and Auto Standby/On

The front and back speakers are approximately 6" x 9" and can be set on a shelf, mounted to a wall or put on speaker stands.The center speaker is approximately 6" x 12" and fits nicely between components on our TV stand.The sub-woofer is larger approximately 12" x 18" and stands on the floor.The receiver is silver with a black LCD screen and the speakers are silver mesh on the front and black on the sides and back, which matches our other components perfectly.

This Onkyo system has made our viewing experience much more enjoyable. The AV receiver works flawlessly with our other components and allows us to also listen to AM/FM radio through receiver. The surround sound makes a huge difference in the sound quality received.
