Great Things Come In Small Packages By msculit on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
My husband is not one who get swayed by media-hype ads or by mere appearance of a product. He does not mind getting my hand-me-downs like my old LG laptop and Sony Ericsson mobile. He does not complain at all. He uses whatever is still useable and he is one pragmatic man.
I was surprised to find a new laptop on my study table one day. It was not just a laptop but a notebook at that! I thought it was mine but it was his. That was a first!!!
Here are the pros of this small gadget:
Slim
Small and portable
Lightweight
Intel Atom/Operating system is Windows XP
Great Multi-media features such asbuilt-in webcam,built-in microphone, stereo speakers and multi-reader card slot
Power-saving design with Energy Star of 4.0 standard.
Includes software like product recovery program cd, application launcher, Norton Internet Security and Adobe Reader
Ethernet/wireless/LAN connectivity
Cons:
Keys on the keyboard are close to each other that I always get the wrong key
No CD-rom
Hard drive is 80GB only
Screen is 7" (because it is small, so that is rather a pro and a con at the same time).
Well, weighing the cons against the many advantages this small unit has, we have to agree that this is one wise purchase my hubby did even though it was not for me :) I enjoy using the small notebook because it is not cumbersome. If I have my way, I want one too...
2 USB ports
Lenovo Ideapad S10e Purchased at: Sharaf DG Price: AED 1599

I was looking at the netbooks tonight - they're cute but I'm afraid I'd go blind trying to get use to the tiny screen ;) they certainly are portable though - hope you get your way ;)
Easy-to-Use Interface and Fast Bootup Time
