Great Value Isn't. By ohthethinksyouwillthink on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I'm always on the look-out for ways to save us money around the home. And why not? Save on what you need, so you can spend on what you want, right? ...Well, almost.

I went the cheep route with this laundry detergent. It is the generic Walmart brand. I figured that powder laundry detergent was powder laundry detergent, and there wouldn't be much difference. I was wrong.

It seems that this powdered laundry detergent doesn't like to disolve. Each time I have used it, I have had to shake out my laundry and brush away all the little white flecks of undesolved detergent. Sometimes these flecks remain even after throwing my clothes in the dryer, so I have to take a lint brush to all of my clothes. Not fun!

The amount I saved is definitely not worth all the extra work this makes for me. Next time I won't be so cheep.

I've not had a lot of success with the Great Value products either, this one doesn't sound like it works very well - thanks for the info on it, great to have.

Detergent that makes your clothes dirty. I will steer clear of that one thanks!
