i have an 04 passat GLX wagon.. it has been my daily driver for the last 7-8months. i couldn't be happier with it. it's a great combination of performance and practicallity, with enough luxury to make you forget that your driving a wagon!

the 4motion all-wheel drive system, independent suspension and the triptronic transmission are just a few of the many features that make driving the passat so enjoyable. my particular model has a 2.8L 190hp V6 engine which gets me 24mpg on the highway, and of couse a little less within the city(18-20mpg). it handles/maneuvers like a dream and is SO SO smooth on the highway. it's a very versatile automobile that gets me to the office 5 days a week and to the lake/campground/trail head for my weekend getaway.

the interior is fantastic.. quality leather with wood trim, seats up to 5 passangers comfortably. you can also collapse the back seat and utilize 39cu.ft. of cargo space. driver and front passanger enjoy multi-adjustable power seats (HEATED ALSO) as well as climate control. the control layout is very "driver friendly" and easy to use.. as the cruise and audio controls are mounted within the steering wheel.

if modifications are your thing, the passat wagon has many options .. i currently have no mods so i can't really comment on that aspect... however, i have included a photo of a beautifully modified wagon from Passatworld.com... Enjoy!

overall, i can't say enough about how great the passat wagon is, i LOVE mine.. i couldn't ask for a more perfect vehicle to handle the exteme MT weather/driving conditions..
