Great Wolf Lodge -Traverse City, MI

We took our 6yr old daughter to the Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City one weekend. She loved it, I was happy with it and my husband thought it was fun but a bit loud. The lodge has a rustic cabin look to it with buffalo in the back by the parking lot. We rented a kid cabin suite which was great. It meant our daughter had her own little "cabin" in the room with bunk beds, a twin bed and a kids tv with cartoons. We had a queen size bed and pull out couch in our section. It was nice to have the privacy and to watch adult tv at night and not worry about DD watching it. Or being stuck watching cartoons. We also went down to the lobby for story time, it was cute to see all the little kids in their pjs.

The water park was fun, it is really loud with all the kids playing. Also they keep it very warm inside, so if you are not swimming you are sweating watching the kids. They had all levels of activities for all age groups. We did the water coaster and the leap pads. Our daughter didn't care for the large dumping bucket but liked everything else. I liked the lazy river.

The food choices were their buffet or a sit down order off the menu place. They were bad, just not that good but they are catering to children so they don't have to have excellent food. We also did the breakfast buffet in the morning and it was better.We will go back again, it was fun to do once a year or so.
