My beagle is taking steroids as perscribed by our vet. He has sensitive skin and something irritated his skin. The poor little guy has red blotchy patches and really dry skin right now! We have been having such a hard time getting him to take his medicine. We tried putting it in meat, peanut butter and ice cream. Even though he LOVES all of those things, he is smart. He knew I was trying to trick him.

I don't have the heart to shove the pills down his throat. We were in Marion where there is a Pet-Land, so we stopped in to see if they had any treats that would help me decieve my baby.

We found Greenies pill pockets for dogs. These treats are hollow on one end making it very easy to stuff the pill inside. These treats have made it so easy to trick my beagle into taking his medicine! I take it a step further and offer an empty pill pocket to our other dog while giving the beagle the loaded pill pocket. So far, he has not figured it out, he has no idea he has taken his medicine! He thinks he is just getting a treat. Thank You Greenies!
