Greeting Card Envelopes For Custom Cards By Alice on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I needed envelopes for the computer generated greeting cards I did at home instead of paying a fortune for cards at the store.
I found this box of Columbian Greeting Card Envelopes at Office Max. They measure 5-3/4" x 8-3/4" which was perfect for the 8-1/2" x 11" paper I used folded in half. They are 24 lb. white woven with a gummed seal. The box containes a hundred envelopes and comes out to less than 10 cents and envelope.
I also love to scrapbook and have found these envelopes to be the perfect size to send out my homemade cards in. They are very sturdy and professional looking with lots of room to add a rubber stamp picture on the front. Whether it's for holidays, birthdays or invitations, these envelopes have been the greatest.
Being able to buy them in a box of 100 saves me time from running back and forth to the store and I chose the basic white which will go with anything I create. Columbian has many sizes, shapes, windowed, plain and colored envelopes for any need. Check them out!

I like the size of this!!!! I too love to scrapbook & make cards!
This is good to know. That's a hard size of envelope to make.
Sounds like a great idea to make ones own cards and then buy some envelopes.
Great that you were able to find envelopes at a reasonable price for yuour home printed cards
It is great that you were able to find envelopes to fit your cards. I make cards at home sometimes, but I have some left over envelopes from another project. But I am almost out, so I will have to look into these.
They look great! I'll have to tell my crafting family members!
