Reviewing: Baby's Bliss Original Gripe Water

I was told by many mothers that I would need a bottle of gripe water for when my son arrived.Gripe water is a herbal supplement that is given for gas and upset stomach, hiccups, and colic.I got the 4oz original bottle that came with a syringe. It is a liquid that is made with ginger extract and fennel extract.Those are the 2 main ingredients.It really does smell bad but you can put it into the babies bottle so you don't have to fight them to take it.It is directed for use from 2 week old babies to adults.Mothers couldn't recommend this more highly to me however I can't say that it has lived up to it's hype.It could be that since my son had reflux it didnt help much.There are several brands out on the market but I have the Baby's bliss original brand.They did have an apple flavor that was recalled sometime last year.

I can't say I have ever heard of this before. I don't have babies in the house anymore but it's nice to know it works for bigger kids and adults too. I will file this away in case we ever need it.

I had never heard of this. Interesting to know.

Another remedy for gripe or colic is rice water. You make rice and as it starts to absorb the water, drain it off into a bottle and let it cool. Very soothing for crampy tummies

This is good to know. I have heard the one about an onion but not rice.

Well, I have to say it may not have worked as well as you hoped, but I love the name! I need to get some for my husband. :)

I had used this with my oldest son 15 yrs ago and it worked great, with my second daughter 2 yrs ago I didn't find it worked but she also have reflux.
