GRUNDIG S350 AMFMSW RADIO

I have been looking for a radio with good am reception and being a ham radio operator the shortwave bands interested me as well on this radio. While at Radio Shack I tried several radio's to see which one would have the best reception in the store. This particular one seemed to pick up the stations I was trying to tune better than the others. From what I understand Grundig makes a quality product on this level and that was the impression that I received as I used the dials to tune in various frequencies. Overall it has a very solid feel to it. It does not appear that Grundig put a cheap speaker in this radio as it sounded very very nice. I know other folks as well who have purchased this radio and state that they have had very good results with the shortwave and fm bands on it as well especially after hooking up a long wire antenna to it. From the store after raising the antenna on it fm came in very nicely. For about 100.00 dollars this radio is a gift well worth considering.
