Guilt Free Chocolate Russell Stover Sugar Free By Geralyn Hydock on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

We all have cravings for a piece of chocolate once in a while. Not all of us can eat this delicious treat which is full of carbohydrates. Having been diagnosed with diabetes 1 four years ago this Valentine's Day, I love my chocolate. While searching my local grocery store for low carbohydrate candy, I came upon these Russell Stover Chocolate Mint Patties.

Russell Stover makes everything from Gummie Bears to Coconut chocolate patties. I just had to try one. Well I could not eat just one, I had to have four or five of them. These sugar free candies are made with the artificial sugar named Splenda. The thing I found out with this sugar substitute is that you cannot eat a lot of it or you are going to have really bad side effects. I need not go into details, you can only imagine. One or two if fine but anymore will do you in.

I tried the gummy bears, chocolate mint and these mint chocolate patties and they are all very tasty. This company know how much Pllenda to put into the product without it tasting too sweet. From now on, I will only treat myself to one or two at a time. Like I said I love these candies and you will too but you have to ration yourself. I highly recommend them to anyone who has to watch their carbohydrate intake.
