Guitar Hero By Seraph By Seraph on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The first Guitar Hero game swept the video game world by storm. Taking a lesson from the insanely popular Guitar Mania video games in Japan, Guitar Hero used a similar formula.

Take a guitar controller, popular songs, and create a fast-paced rhythm game that's suitable for all ages! (When I say all ages...it's literal. YouTube is full of videos of children as young as 5 and adults as old as their late 80s playing the game.)

Because it's the first game in the series, of course there are some kinks they needed to have worked out. Practice mode is nowhere to be seen, and the easiness of the songs leaves something to be desired. I myself became bored sometimes with the difficulty, but of course I started the series with the second game. I easily beat it on Hard mode, after having played Hard/Expert mode on the others.

Still, this is a wonderful game and well worth buying. if you plan on owning the Guitar Hero series, definitely don't pass up on this one!
