Guitar Hero Guitar Popular For A Reason By Steven Kruyne on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
The controller for the game Guitar Hero (360) is called the X-plorer. It is a great controller that fits the game very well. It has 5 buttons on the fret board and a little strummer to mimic strumming. A whammy bar is attached as well to create distortion on sustained notes. Unlike the standard 360 controller, using the guitar controller requires the user to press the fret button and actually strum on beat. This requires the player to utilize both their hands effectively. It is very confortable to hold and includes a strap to go around the neck. The guitar is the best way to play the game and any other way doesn't feel the same. The only complaint I could have is that the guitar is not wireless, but this is due to Microsoft not allowing it, instead of Red Octane being lazy.
