Guitar Hero Ii: Ps2 Game Review By Reny on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Guitar Hero II is one of the most outstanding music games to ever come out for any system. It takes a theme that matches very well with the guitar, Rock and Roll, and incorporates it into a well-orchestrated game. Moreover, the guitar controller is simple to use and really gets you into the game much better than a Dual Shock 2 controller could.

The selection of songs you must play to get through career mode is excellent. Songs like Sweet Child o' Mine by Guns n Roses, War Pigs by Black Sabbath, and Crazy on You by Heart really rock. As you beat songs, you earn money that allows you to unlock bonus tracks, new guitarists, and even outfits. While the selection of bonus tracks isn't the greatest, there are a few in there that actually got me interested in a new artist that I had previously not been familiar with.

You will find yourself spending many hours honing your skills in this game. Tracks that you initially find impossible will turn out to be quite easy. The real question is, do you have what it takes to beat expert? How about getting 5 stars (the highest rating) on all the tracks? You probably do...but one thing that is for certain, Guitar Hero II will definitely have you trying.
