Guitar Hero Iii By rose33oo on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
All I can say is I absolutely loved this game. I played it on my brothers PS3 and I was addicted immediately. He has the wireless guitar which makes it so easy to play without having to worry about dragging a cord or getting comfortable with the cord in the way. I don't think I would have minded much even if it did have a cord though.
My 6 year old son tried it and couldn't get the hang of it, nor could I my first time, but with a little practice I think he could get the basics down. They have 5 buttons at the top which are the level of difficulty. I only played with the top 3. You can play with 3, 4, or 5 of the buttons. It takes some coordination but it really makes you feel like you are playing a real guitar. I am a perfectionist so I tried completing songs 100% and never did but it's a goal to work for and be proud of yourself to reach.
The variety of songs wasn't too bad either. You can just practive songs or you can play in career mode which gives you gigs to earn money for the store. In the store you can buy other songs, outfits, guitars, etc.. My brother had his hooked up to the internet and he could download more songs if he wanted to. I didn't try that part, though.
This is definately on my wish list. I have already price checked one for my PS2!!
