Guitar Hero Iii Fun For All Ages! By agngg on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
So one night, my husband and I were kind of bored. We had been talking about buying Guitar Hero III but with a new baby at home, we weren't sure about spending the $90 on the game that came with the guitar. Boredom won, and we got it...along with a 12 pack of Coronas, and an extra guitar.
It was well worth it. The songlist is a lot better than I expected it to be. The graphics are awesome. And it takes some time to get good at it. I think that was the best part. It's not something you can pick up and automatically be on Expert. I think we even started it out on Medium cause we thought we were cool....but we quickly dropped it down to Easy. I played with hubby for a while...had maybe 2 beers, then called it a night, and took my daughter to bed. My husband ended up playing all night...he could not put it down. It is totally addicting.
So now, we spend some quality family time. We rock out while our daughter sits in her bouncy chair watching us with a grin. She even stays entertained while we play due to all the colors and her parents dancing around the living room with guitars!
Even the quality of the guitar it came with was excellent, It was wireless with a strap. We have not had any issues with it, and have been playing regularly for about 2 months now. We also got a used wired guitar and it's nice but I prefer the wireless.
So, go ahead...give in...go get Guitar Hero III, and I & II while you're at it...maybe even throw in the 80's. It's worth it.
Now...if we only had room for Rock Band!
