Gulf World Panama City Beach, Fl By allie63078 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Last weekend, on our trip to Panama City Beach, FL, we decided to check out Gulf World since we had never been there before. I liked it pretty much, but I have been to much better wildlife centers.

First thing we did upon arriving was go to the high-diving show. This show featured about 5 guys and 1 girl who showed off a lot of different diving from different height diving boards. Then, the put on a silly pirate type skit and ended the show with a diver doing a dive from about 80 feet above the water. The show was okay, but there wasn't enough seating to accomodate everyone so some people were having to stand out in the hot sun. Also, the ramp going to the show area was quite steep for someone traveling in a wheelchair as my husband was.

After leaving the show, we headed to see the next show...the dolphin show. Now this show was pretty cool. There was plenty of seating for everyone, but it was hot. They should have had some overhead fans blowing on the crowd or something. Anyway, once the show started, we were all mesmerized because the dolphins were just so darn cute and very talented. It was really neat watching them do all there stunts.

After the show, we wandered around inside and saw a lot of different birds and then we went outside where we got to see some sharks, an alligator and most fun was petting the stingrays.

I think it was a nice little place, but a little expensive for what you got to see and do.
