Guylian Chocolate Seashells By Lorianna on - Updated Sep 18, 2011

I have been a fan of Guylian Chocolate Seashells for many years, buying it for gifts and enjoying it myself. This chocolate is imported from Belgium. It is sold in nice boxes with a transparent window on top that allows you to take a peek inside and see the chocolate pieces. They are shaped as various seashells (hence the name), shrimp and sea horses. The box I normally buy is a 8.82 oz box that contains two kinds of chocolate: dark and milk. Both are mixed with praline, which I guess creates the white swirls. Both are delicious. The dark ones have a more pronounced taste; they do not have that hint of bitterness dark chocolate sometimes tends to have. Milk chocolate pieces are milder.

Guylian also makes seashells with strawberry filling and with milk chocolate truffle filling, but I have not tried these; I prefer the original, classic taste. Detailed info about Guylian chocolate can be found at http://www.guylian.be/
