Gv Soft White Compact Fluorescent Bulbs By Darrylmcd on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
This is the store brand of these compact fluorescent bulbs. They are only a miserly twenty three watt draw which barely moves the electric meter. Even a whole case would draw barely enough juice to get the dial moving. These bulbs are in the GREEN ZONE. Which means they are good for the environment ,because they draw seventy seven percent less electricity than and equivalent one hundred watt incandescent bulb. You can still get the easy too see lighting you desire without draining the poor thin wallet most of us poor old working stiffs have theses days. We have outfitted our whole house with these type bulbs and with teenagers in the house who cannot seem to remember to flip switches it has impacted the electric bill to a very noticeable point. They also do not burn as hot so you also benefit from less heat build up in the house in the summer. As always thanks for the read and have a great life.
Great Value Soft White Compact Fluorescent Bulbs 23Watt Purchased at: Wal Mart Price: $7.58

This is a really great way to save energy, I love it!
These sound great! We really need to lower our electric and if they do that and are good for the environment, then I'm going to buy some. Thanks.
Good to know that you don't always have to get the expensive brand to have them work well.
I wondered how the generic version would work. Thanks!
Hope ya'll know that the American Medical Association and the American Dental Association both rate these as hazardous to one's health. Flourescent lighting can contribute and may cause TMJ (pain in jaw/headaches/teeth grinding/feeling as if you have a bad tooth,etc.,). Just a little warning . . .
We hope to convert all of our bulbs to these!! That's great that you can see a difference in your electric bill!
We recently began using these bulbs but here is a heads up. Don't use them in dimmers (you know the thing that automatically comes on a dusk and goes off at dawn) because it ruins them. There was a warning about this on the box but we didn't see it. Duh!
We're converting our house to these as well - I'm hoping to see some savings in our electric bill!
This is one of the greatest invention to help us save $$ on our electricity bills, thanks for sharing.
I haven't used these yet, but have been thinking about it. A lower electricity bill is always a plus.
