This is one toy I would not have wanted to be without when my children were infants. They could lay on this mat for up to half an hour, which for an infant is a very long time.

There is so much for them to look at on this mat. From the brightly colored toys dangling overhead to the mirror on the side, they had plenty to keep them busy. When you laid them down for tummy time, they were entertained by the various noises, textures and surprises to uncover on the mat. The mat also played classical music.

When my daughter was born, my son was fifteen months old. He still enjoyed it and loved to go show her how the various toys worked.

The mat itself is machine washable, which is handy if your baby spits up. You merely remove the insides and throw it in on gentle cycle. I never had any problem with shrinkage through two children. And despite being used for two infants, this mat still looks great!

Overall, I would say this is a must have for any new parent.
