Every year I have my taxes done for us by my accountant which run my husband and I about $250.00 to $350.00. This year my husband and I have decided that we were going to use H & R Block. I know they are cheaper and with money being tight right now I know we can afford the $79.99 oppose to $250.00 and up. I thought about going into H & R Blocks facility but than a friend told me about their online services. I decided that I dont have a lot of time so online would work best and I could do them on my own. I signed up with them and created an account. I started putting in my personal information and my wage information which was easy because H & R Block tells you what goes where, then came the hard part.

I have my own business and investments. When I entered my investments I got confused. H & R Block does not tell you what page your on (ie, Tax form 1099-B or 1099-DVI). I have both, so the entire time I was unsure if I was imputing the correct information. When I told H & R Blocks online program that I had a business I was not able to break down the deductions for food, toys, office supplies, ect.

I found the program to be too complicated when it was time to imput investments and business information.I will be going into H& R Block to have someone who knows taxes do them.
