Halex Electronic Dart Board By cnt24 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

We purchased a Halex Electronic Dart Board for our garage. This board takes 4 AA batteries. It keeps score and sound indication has on and off options.

The soft-tip darts that came with the Halex set are cheap and break very easily. The dart shaft and flights are marginal. The tips are almost useless and should be upgraded immediately if you purchase this board.

Luckily we have our own soft tip darts and could discard those accompanying the board.

Generally, we like the Halex board. It has several different game options: 301-901, Cricket, No-Score Cricket, Scram, Cut-Throat Cricket, Count-Up 300-999, High Score 3-14 rounds, Round-The-Clock, Killer, Double Down, Forty One, All Fives 51-91, Shanghai 1-5-10-15, Golf 9-18 hole, Football 6-9, Bowling Baseball 6-9, Steeplechase, Shove A Penny, Nine-Dart Century, and Green Vs. Red.

We have really only played 301 and Cricket. Those games score fairly if you ask me, not my husband. I'm sure the others work well too.

The Halex board seems to be pretty good on the batteries. It has an auto shut off should you forget to turn it off. However, if you get to talking, or drinking, between plays the auto shut off is a pain and wipes your scores-you should keep a pad or chalk board close by just in case. For the money we spent Halex has a winner in my book.
