Half-Life 2: Episode One PC

Ok, the whole deal with HL2: Episode 1 (Henceforth referred to as Ep1 to save space) is that first came Half-Life 2, the the sequel to Half-Life, then Half-Life 3 will be released in 3 "episodes". However, they aren't called Half-Life 3 Episode 1 or anything, but confusingly Half-Life 2. Now, with that out of the way, Valve has shown they really know what to do when it comes to game design, again! Ep1 takes place a few hours (maybe a day or so?) after the events of Half-Life 2 came to a close. You are Gordon Freeman, probably the unluckiest guy in the world and the protagonist of Half-Life 1 and 2. You are working with your friend, Alyx, to escape City 17, the place where Half-Life 2 took place. After you messed up the bad guy's operations, (The Combine being the bad guys) their whole base is getting ready to explode (their base being the citadel). After you and Alyx learn it'd be impossible to get out of the blast radius before it exploded, you and Alyx have to go back in to the citadel and slow down the reaction, then turn around and get the heck out of the city. The game design is absolutely stellar, and if you turn on "developer commentary" ( a feature every game should have), you can listen to what the developers were thinking when they made the game. The Half-Life Games, as always, have fantastic graphics. Episode 1 is no different! The game, unfortunately, is very short. You'll probably get 4 or 5 hours of playtime out of it your first run through. However, because it's short but sweet, you'll be able to run through it whenever you want and it won't be boring. Plus, you'll probably play through it twice anyway to hear the developer commentary. It's also $10 on Valve's Digital Content Distribution Service, Steam! It also comes with 2 other games.
