Ok...so, there are alot of shooters out there these days which range in style, content, and just overall fun especially for the PC. However, few games have come close to what Half Life 2 has accomplished in its story, gameplay, and shooting mecanics. This game was released in 2006, a year which may make some look away because it is now 3 years old so people might think that the graphics are mushy and not "next gen". I strongly disagree. The game has great presentation. it opens out with engaging and gripping gameplay and dives right into the story. The shooting is satisfying and works very well, the guns are great too especially the "gravity gun"..ooo sounds nice huh! However this game and its predecesors really shine in one area which any game before or after has not been able to come close to. The non player characters (npcs) and their interactions with the player. Never in another game have i felt or seen such interactions. The characters actually make you feel sympathetic, caring, fear, anger, and dare i say lov for them. They really make you feel like your in the game and its just beyoine words on how good valve has made this game. Its an experiemce you will not soon forget and i regret seing it and actually trying it until recently because i didnt feel like it would be that good and it was all too overhyped...but boy was i wrong. I have surely joined the Half Life 2 bandwagon and i am eagerly waiting and hoping for the posibility of a followup of it. Go and get this game. Youll stay up all night playing until you finish and then you'll replay it just to pas it again and again. Also there are a huge list of modifications available for free online which transform the game into a whole new different experience. Go and get This!
