Today was my granddaughter's birthday. Even though she is just learning to read in kindergarten......she was able to read this birthday card from Hallmark connection series. It was a beautiful card and I can't believe it only cost me a dollar. I used to buy really nice cards for birthdays until they started raising prices and simple cards were costing over $4.00! This is a great alternative especially for the kids. They don't really care about the cards as much as they care about the gift.

This birthday card was very colorful and the envelope was also a bright yellow color. I like colored envelopes so much better than a plain white one. Inside the card there was a simple birthday greeting. I added some of our own words on the opposite side where it was blank. The card was of high quality material which I would only expect Hallmark to use. The envelope was thick and sturdy. I think sometimes those less expensive cards come with paper thin envelopes that cheapen the look of their cards.

These are perfect for when you don't want to spend a lot of extra money for a card when you are buying a gift already. An extra dollar isn't going to break the bank!
