Halloween Unrated Director's Cut Dvd By Jeff Reaves on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I thought this was an excellent remake of the 1970's classic! Rob Zombie did a great job with the film. I do not usually like remakes because you either feel like you are watching the same film with different actors or the film is so different the viewer is turned off because the director has messed with a classic. Neither was the case with this film. My favorite thing about the film was that you got a back-story into the childhood of Michael Meyers and what may have caused him to become this sadistic killer. I liked the casting of the film. My favorite character in the film was Michael's mother, which was played by Rob Zombie's wife. I also liked that the actress who played Laurie Strobes daughter in Halloween 4 and 5 was hired to play another character in this film almost 20 years later. Some of the killings in the film were quite brutal and a little too gory but it did add to the scariness of the film. This 2 disc set has alot of extras that I enjoyed. My favorites were the alternate ending, deleted scenes and bloopers which were funny.

I enjoyed this movie as well. I love the original though still. Rob Zombie is an awesome film maker.

remakes don't ever interest me but considering who the director is i think the movie is worth watching and it probably wouldn't disappoint.
