Halls Defense
By donnabc onI can't stand the taste of most cough drops. But when I have a sinus infection, cough drops are necessary.I use to buy Ricola, which are pretty good too.But one morning while we had staff meeting (2 hours of torture), I was coughing up a storm and a co-worker took pitty and tossed me a few of these.
They are surprisingly good....like candy even. There is no medication in them which is probably why they are advertised as supplements and not cough drops. At any rate, they work great to sooth irritated throats, break up mucus, and decrease your coughing....probably the citric acid at work. Each drop also gives you 60 mg or 100% of your vitamin C for the day!
They can be found in the cough drop section and come in sugar free (which is what I normally buy) and regular.
Got a cough, try these, you will NOT be disappointed!

I always have a few of these in my night stand--just in case.
I love these and normally keep at least two bags here at home. Between chilfdrens asthma and allergies and a stubborn lupus cough, these really make a difference.
I haven't tried these I normally use zinc lozenges, but since these worked so well for you, I'm going to have to give these a try next time I get sick (oh please, don't let it be too soon, lol).
Halls works wonders. I don't like the taste very much, but Cherry and Lemon flavors are okay. As to cough or soar throat, it is usually gone within minutes. Great stuff.
You're right-they do taste candy like!!! We always have these in our house!
I use these all the time in the winter, and sometimes in the summer to counteract a slightly dry throat that just gives me a little itchy cough. They are great!
Personally I hate Halls! LOL But my husband uses these often when he has a cough
All our family uses Halls, they work great to relieve sore throat & cough. We always have some around. Who wouldn't want to eat a sweet candy instead of taking a pill? :)
I need to keep these drops in mind when its cold/flu season.
