Halls Mentho Lyptus Drops By Sparkle333 By Sparkle333 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Halls Mentho-Lyptus drops are one of those products that I have a love/hate relationship with. I love the way they help soothe my sore throat and cough, but quite frankly, I hate the way they taste. I'm using one right now, and I'm making a face, because of the flavor. The "vapor-action" does open my sinuses and help with my chronic cough. The formula is a mixture of menthol and eucalyptus.

Sometimes Halls drops are the only thing that will help with my hacking cough. While they don't cure a sore throat, they often do help temporarily with the excruciating pain. I have been using Halls Mentho-Lyptus drops for years, and at the first symptom of a cough or cold, they are one of the first medications that I purchase.

Halls Mentho-Lyptus Drops come in assorted flavors, and are advertised as a cough suppressant, as well as an oral anesthetic. The dosage is one drop every two hours. They are also available in sugar-free drops.

I suppose that they wouldn't have the "vapor action" effect if they changed the flavor, because menthol and eucalyptus have a certain taste that you can't escape. Okay, even though I don't care for the flavor, I have to admit they are very effective and helpful for coughs, colds, sore throats, or flu.
