Halo 3 is one of the most anticiped games ever, and it doesn't fail to disappoint. Just watching my friends play for the first time, I was awed by the graphics, especially the lighting. Shadows, sun flares, and reflections off the guns look incredible. My roommate really loved the real-life physics of the plants and their movements and reactions when you run through them. And the sound, on a good speaker system, is nothing short of amazing. The campaign seems a little short, but multiplayer is as fun as ever. I played with some friends for hours after first getting it, and there's nothing quite like rushing in and saving your teammate from sudden death at the last second. And then you can watch an entire replay of the match. You can even zoom in on a single bullet shell falling from your gun...pretty sweet.

My complaints are few. The most notable thing was that in split screen co-op mode, using my widescreen monitor, there were horizontal bars on the left and right sides of the screen. The ratios probably don't work out right, but it still looks kind of ugly. And while there is 4 player co-op, only 2 players can play on one XBox. I had 3 friends who were pumped about co-op, but only 2 of us could play.

Still, this is one the best games ever released on the 360. If you like shooters, especially for the multiplayer, buy it now. And you'll be playing for a while.
