I bought this deep fryer for my husband. He asked for one for his birthday several years ago and after researching all the deep fryers out there, I settled on this one.The Hamilton Beach Cool Touch Deep Fryer is a very nice product. It's a very nice large size, but not huge.

Once oil is put in the fryer, it gets plenty hot and food fries up nicely, comes out crunchy and non-greasy. The pot is large and deep and there is an auto shutoff feature and a breakaway cord for safety. The outside of the fryer stays cool to the touch and never gets hot even when the oil temperature is at its highest. It has a cooking timer, well designed fry basket and provides spatter free frying.

My favorite things that my husband makes with this fryer is chicken, french fries, and donuts.

When frying, the fryer can get a little smoky but it doesn't produce enough smoke to set off the smoke alarm. The nonstick pot easy to clean ...just pour the oil out and place in dishwasher.
