I bought this blender to match the rest of the red kitchen gadgets I am collecting. But, it does a lot more than just sit on the countertop and look pretty! The Hamilton Beach 5223WV is a sturdy blender that will help you perform kitchen magic every day!

I am a smoothie lover. I make a smoothie nearly every day, and you have to have a good blender to get the job done. This one has a neat "wave action" that you can see through the GLASS container - another plus. A blender in this price range normally has a plastic container. The stainless steel blades do a fantastic job with the ice and frozen fruit that I use to make smoothies, as long as there is sufficient liquid in the blender jar. If you try to crush ice without any liquid, the ice gets clogged on the blades. But, it works well for the different tasks I have used it for. It also looks very nice in my kitchen!
