Hamilton Beach open ease can opener was a wedding gift. It has lasted for many years! It came with a safety guard blade cover. It has an easy to clean twist off handle. It is has the easy open can guide system. You can sharpen your kitchen knifes. This is one of the most durable and lasting can openers ever. I have a white one. It has never discolored or failed to work in all these years! I liked Hamilton Beach products because I have always been pleased with their preformance. I know this would make a great gift. It never hangs up and is a very good value. Years of service with no complaints makes this product an excellent value! I would pick this Hamilton Beach can opener first, to give as a gift. I do not like replacing appliances frequently and Hamilton Beach can go the distance. The craftsmanship is top ranking. Thank you Hamilton Beach for a great can opener! If I ever do have to replace this can opener, I would choose another Hamilton Beach!
