Hamilton Beach Can Opener
By Rae777 onI have been through just about every kind of can opener there is on the market.I have used the manual can openers that one has to turn themselves, the new modern ones that cut the top off and even electric can openers. The problem with most electric can openers are that they are not very durable.Usually after a month's time the can opener starts refusing to open
cans or it starts dropping them after it does open them. However, with a person in the house who has arthritis I needed a good electric can opener.
I saw the Hamilton Beach Classic Chrome Heavyweight Can Opener in the store and I know generally Hamilton Beach is a good brand name so I decided tried this can opener.
It features:
a washable cutting unit that can be removed
is suppose to open cans on the first attempt
it is suppose to automatically shutoff when it through opening the lid
it is extra-tall to open taller cans (it's about 8 1/2 inches tall)
it has a bottle opener on it
it has a knife sharpener on it
its silver and black
Overall, this has been a pretty good can opener so far.I don't generally use a bottle opener but it is nice to have one nearby when you need it.The only thing I would change about this can opener is the magnet that is supposed to hold the lid is too weak so I generally have to remove it myself but then this is a problem with a lot of electric can openers I have owned.
