Hamilton Beach StayGo Slow Cooker
By Rae777 onHamilton Beach Stay/Go Slow Cooker is a handy slow cooker with some good features such as large, rubber griped handles for safe and easy carrying. It also has a lid rest to keep the lid out of way but in place so you do not have to lay it on the counter. The lid also has a grip handle on the lid where the spoon clips into so that the spoon does not get lost if you take this pot some where.
The stoneware inside the cooker is dishwasher safe as is the lid. This cooker consists of a steel pot which has a stoneware bowl inside. So when cleaning up just let it cool and then take the stoneware out of the base and wash it. The steel outside container you just wipe off. The electrical cord and components are in this piece so you dont want to submerge it in water.
It has 3 settings. High, low and a warm setting to keep food warm. The lid has rubber gasket and hooks on too the base so it stays sealed well if you plan on going to a potluck supper or taking food to a family gathering. This cooker holds 6 quarts but seems bigger to me.
It also came with blank labels that you put in the little nameplate on the front and you write on it what is in the pot as in Anns Chicken and Dumplings. I guess this is in case you are taking it to a reunion or a family gathering.
The only problem is this cooker is heavy! Its about 15 pounds empty.
I love slow cookers, especially the one's with removable inserts. This one seems really heavy though, can't imagine what it weighs with food in there!
I need a new slow cooker, this sounds like a good one.

Slow cookers are great. We have a new one here also and there is nothing like having supper cook for you while you do tons of other things.
