Hammer And Nails? Overrated. By milletappe on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Ideally, we would like no outbuildings in our yard. Foliage only, please. But that's just not realistic. We had already built a charming little shed out of scraps and old recovered windows and door, but it was constantly overfull, no matter how diligently we'd purge. Moreover, it had been a substantial project to build.

Enter the compact, assemble-in-your-sleep-in-five-minutes Rubber Maid Vertical Storage Shed. 1 trip to the hardware store, 1 box, 15 minutes in the yard, 0 tools. Priceless.

Actually, no, it definitely did have a price, and that would be my only quibble. At 300 clams, 52 cubic feet of plastic seems a little dear. But then it does seem one is always choosing between quick/easy and cheap.

I like the look of that shed, but the price is like you said a bit much. Thanks for sharing.

it does sort of disappear in the yard, which was what we wanted.

We have one similar to this. Very handy.

Great storage shed. My mom has one and she keeps chairs, rakes, hoes, and all kinds of outdoor tools in it. She did have an issue with the roof not fitting well, but I had my brother fix it (just needed a little more brute strength)

We have these and they are so much better than the old wood or metal ones.
