Reviewing: Columbia Pictures Hancock

I rented this movie from my local redbox last week. I really enjoyed this film, much better than I thought I would. Sure it is silly, and completely unbelievable. This movie was not made to win Oscar's, it was made to entertain which it certainly does. The story is about an extraordinary "superhero", Hancock, that his town just does not want. He drinks, curses, and always is destructive while catching the bad guys. Hancock meets Ray, after saving him,who is a PR Rep who thinks he can get the public to love Hancock. Ray's wife Mary does not think this is a good idea. There are also some conflicting back stories but I do not want to give to much of the movie away.

Cast:

* Will Smith....Hancock

*Jason Bateman...Ray

*Charlize Theron...Mary

Opinion: Jason Bateman to me was hilarious in this movie. The rest of the cast were good, but Jason's subtle humor was really good. The storyline is good and a little suprising. I am not sure I would shell the money out to buy the movie first. I would recommend renting before you buy.
