Handy Travel Alarm And Flashlight By Pogo on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
We bought the Travel Alarm Clock flashlight for our daughter's month trip through Germany. She was part of a group of 150 teens from the US who camped, stayed in hostels and host homes throughout Germany.
It was perfect because it not only would wake her up when needed but the flashlight would be there if she needed it. As it turned out, she did! In fact, she ended up using it over and over: finding her way to and from the bathroom in unfamiliar, dark surroundings.
And the alarm clock ended up being very important when her leader's clock got broken and my daughter had the only other one in her group! Remember, they are teens and focused more on what they would wear, than if they'd get up. I am glad I convinced my daughter it was small enough to sit in a side pocket and not take any added space in her pack.
The Travel Alarm Clock Flashlight is compact in size, measuring only 11/4" x 6 3/4" long. The LED flashlight is really bright, making it more useful than you would assume one that small would be. There is a backlight behind the time, making it easy to read at night.
The Travel Alarm Clock Flashlight takes four AAA batteries to run, which are not included. They can be picked up online at he Sky Mall where both sell it for $24.95. My sister later found it for her camping friends at Partshelf.com for only $16.95. It really is a great little item!
