Happy Feet By buckeyefan on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Happy Feet is an animated movie based off the documentary "March of the Penguins." This movie is rated PG for some mild peril and rude humor.

If you happened to see "March of the Penguins," this parody will have you laughing at all of the jokes made about the penguins....but even if you didn't see the documentary, this is still a fantastic movie that the whole family can enjoy together.

The animation is really great- very smooth and realistic looking. My favorite part, though, is the music in the this movie- the plot of the movie revolves around every penguin having their own unique song, so there are a lot of times where they will all sing- but the song choices are always current and past pop songs that you will definitely recognize- it's really cute.

Lastly, there is a moral to this movie, which I also appreciate, because it gives us an oppurtunity to discuss it with my son after we watch it together. The main character, Mumble, learns how important it is to be true to who he is, which is a worthwhile reminder to people of any age.
