Happy With Robbins Hardwood! By Jeanette Dusci on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

We recently replaced some linoleum flooring in our house with Robbins solid oak wood flooring. We chose the 3 1/4 inch planks in the color chestnut. I had been wanting hardwood flooring for a long time. Choosing the color and style was the most difficult part. We had the floor laid in the main, front hall, dining room and kitchen/ eating area. All of these areas flow into one another, so I needed the wood to look nice with all decor in all those areas. The Robbins solid oak in the chestnut color fit the bill for us. It is casual, yet elegant enough to look good with my formal dining room set. The floor looks gorgeous now that it is laid, but I will only give it a 4 for durability as we have only had it for a few months. There are several scratches aleady, but they are not very noticeable to anyone, but myself. We have three kids as well as a dog. I was warned about the dog scratching the floor up, but we got such a great deal on the flooring through my husbands work that we couldn't pass it up. I will update this review in several months on the wear and tear! I love the look of the floor and the ease of cleaning it. All I do is sweep with a broom and then use a Swiffer wet jet to mop it. It's great!

This sounds really beautiful and something I would love to add to some rooms in our house. Thanks for sharing and look forward to the update!
